Flood Alleviation Works – Haltwhistle
The project comprised extensive flood alleviation works in multiple locations across the town of Haltwhistle.
Key work elements included –
– Installation of new drainage infrastructure including new box culverts, concrete inlet structures, drainage pipes together with repair of existing.
– Reinstatement works including paving, tarmac road repairs, concrete works, fencing, top soiling, turfing, kerbing and stone walling.
Recognising the potential for disruption we took great care to plan and manage our works to minimise disruption and nuisance to residents and local businesses and to ensure effective ongoing communication and coordination with stakeholders.
Works were delivered safely within programme and within budget and the success of our approach to, and delivery of, the works resulted in the following from local Councillor Janette Kendrew –
