The project comprised the construction of a new 49 space car park and new access road together with installation of new drainage infrastructure, the provision of 4no electrical charging points, and footpath & street lighting improvement works.
The new car park provides additional parking capacity for Lockerbie railway station.
Works were carried out near existing residential and commercial premises and adjacent to the main West Coast rail line. Other key constraints included existing gas mains and gas governor.
Detailed preconstruction and construction planning and engagement with key stakeholders ensured effective ongoing safe and secure working and minimal disruption to neighbours.
The project was completed within programme and budget.
