The project comprised construction of new concrete flood wall, repair of existing stone walling and installation of new bridge abutment structure along area of existing watercourse immediately adjacent to the Lodore Falls Hotel in Borrowdale.
Works involved diversion of the existing beck and hydro outfall discharge and excavation of existing river bed to foundation levels.
Casting of in-situ concrete foundations, installation of pre-cast concrete upstands and installation of stone cladding to upstands.
Casting of bridge abutments
Installation of trench fill wall and repairs to existing stone walling.
